Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance Statement

Mark Estivo, the founder and owner of Pro-Asset Painting Maintenance, is a Painter and Decorator by trade. He understands the importance of completing works to the highest possible standards, every time. Quality Assurance is the responsibility of management from the CEO to the site supervisor, ensuring all works are completed to the highest possible standards.

Pro-Asset Painting Maintenance completes all works in accordance to the AS/NZS 2311:2009 Guide to the Painting of Buildings. The following standards may also be applicable and implemented during the works;

  • AS 1580 Methods of Tests for Paints and Related Materials
  • AS 2310 Glossary of Paint and Painting Terms
  • AS 2312:2002 Guide to the protection of structural steel against atmospheric corrosion by the use of protective coatings
  • AS 2700 Colours for General Purposes
  • AS 4361.1-1995 Guide to Lead Paint Management - Industrial Applications, or
  • AS 4361.2-1998 Guide to Lead Paint Management - Residential and Commercial Buildings
  • AS 2865 Working in a Confined Space (made applicable when using strippers)
  • Hoardings and Scaffolding: The Occupational Health and Safety Regulation 2001 - Clause 57: Falling Objects – particular risk control measures and Clause 231: Overhead protection structures - particular risk control measures

Our team at Pro-Asset ensure materials used correspond to those specified for each substrate. We also ensure they are properly applied, observing relevant industry standards and manufacturers' application instructions accordingly. Pro-Asset are able to provide Inspection and Test plans for projects upon request.

Quality assurance in the Paint Industry is vital to ensure superior performance and durability for the long-term protection of assets from seasonal weathering and/or deterioration. Quality assurance extends beyond specifications, materials and workmanship, but includes reducing the risk of defects and failures and maximising quality performance and outcomes for clients. During application of the coatings, the works are carefully observed by designated project supervisors so that any corrections or failures are clearly documented for review and rectification.

Pro-Asset is currently working towards achieving ISO 9001:2016, an internationally recognised Quality Management System with an independent accreditation.
